I don’t have much to recap this week because I’ve spent all of it sick. Thankfully not the flu but a really disgusting, feverish cold that rendered me a bump on the couch. Which was a nice way to recover from a weekend in Richmond. And hide from the snow.
Reading. Educated. Finished Force of Nature. Got nothing from the library or NetGalley or Kindle. But I did learn that Jodi Picoult and Amy Stewart have new books this year so that’s exciting. Don’t forget Show Us Your Books on Tuesday!
Watching. Flint Town. It’s a docuseries on Netflix about the Flint, MI police department. I’m on episode 3 and have mixed feelings about it. But I’ll finish it because my interest is piqued.
Listening. Remember last week when I stomped my feet in an impatient tantrum because Shinedown hadn’t released their summer tour schedule? WELL. THEY DID. And I cannot wait! Plus their new song debuted this week. It KICKS ASS and I can’t stop listening to it.
Drinking. Tea. Lots and lots of tea. And, fun fact, I didn’t have coffee for a week and I didn’t miss it. An interesting development in my life.
Wondering. If I should by the handheld Oregon Trail game from Target. Seriously. Should I buy it?
Laughing. At some things I saw on the internet and forgot to save so I can share them. Not sure why I brought it up.
Well, I’m off to the movies this weekend. The child wants to see A Wrinkle in Time and since we have this weekend free from any family or cheerleading obligations, I’m going to take her. I’m not thrilled about going to the movies on a weekend but sometimes we have to do things we don’t like.
See you on Tuesday when we talk books!

I had that sickness, too. Not the flu, but yuck So grateful I was able to be on the couch.
I literally was in bed for an entire day. Healing lights and love to all!

There’s nothing really that I’m watching right now. I’m between shows, but I’m looking forward to the TV show Rise since it’s like Friday Night Lights meets Glee. Hope it’s good! Feel better!

Ugh. Colds are yucky. Hope you’re feeling better! I’m looking forward to seeing A Wrinkle in Time too, although I’m probably going to catch it next Tuesday. It’s cheap day, all-day and well, I’m cheap! I was drinking lots of tea, then went back to coffee. I”d like to drink more tea, though. I can drink it straight and have to add cream and sugar to coffee. Oh, Amy Stewart has a new book … another Kopp sisters book or something different? Have a great, non-cheer competition weekend!

It’s the fourth Kopp sisters book! I can’t wait!
I try to go on Tuesdays for the same reason but she has practice then and by the time she has spring break it’ll probably be out of theaters.

I’m curious to hear if you like A Wrinkle in Time. I didn’t enjoy the book but I’d like to see the movie.
I don’t drink coffee when I’m sick and then I tell myself that I’ve kicked it and I should use this as a jumping off point to eat healthier and avoid caffeine. Then I start drinking coffee again…
Have a great weekend! Hope you’re feeling better!

Sorry to hear you got That Crud. It’s been tromping all over the country, apparently; so far, so good for us, but then again we don’t go out all that much.
Did go to the library to work on a freelance assignment and picked up four books: “Heart Berries” by Terese Marie Mailhot, “The Revolution of Marina M.” by Janet Fitch, “You Were There Before My Eyes” by Maria Riva and “Hiding Out,” by Tina Alexis Allen.
Also had a really annoying thing happen to me in the library’s specially marked “Quiet Zone.” (It’s linked below, as my latest post.) So annoying, in fact, that I wrote and posted it on the spot. The world is such a noisy place; why are some people compelled to bring noise along with them to the quiet places?
