Jana’s note: When Erin and I were deciding what theme to use for this month’s playlist, she metiomed that since both of us are struggling with our depression right now, maybe we should do something with that. Then I suggested that since depression makes you feel grey, why not do the opposite and use songs with color. I said it because it’s important to know that even if things seem bleak and dark, there’s still color and beauty to be found. And thanks again to Erin for putting the actual post together since I can’t seem to bring myself to do anything.

I love the Goo Goo Dolls Black Balloon! I love the Goo Goo Dolls! When my 85 year old dad took himself to the Ford dealer and bought himself a bright red Ford Focus, I changed the Prince song words to Little Red Fordette! Love these posts! Love. Stephs. Momma

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh so many songs that I love. First of all….I have to applaud you guys for using Butch Walker!!! This particular song isn’t my favorite of his but I just love him ever since Marvelous Three. Blue Monday, Back in Black, Pretty Fly, White Wedding, Blackhole Sun and anything Pearl Jam??? Yup, all solid choices!!

I love it! I never realized that there were so many names with different colors, and you can definitely tell with the rock groups that red and black would be repeat colors!

I really like the theme you guys came up with this time around. 🙂
I love the Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Muse songs on this list (though I’m sure that’s not surprising).
I hadn’t really thought about songs with colors in the titles before seeing this playlist, but now I’m coming up with a bunch of songs I like. Here are a few (that weren’t already on the list, of course):
“Rose Parade” by Elliott Smith (“Rose” counts, right?)
“Amber Waves” by Tori Amos
“Black-Dove (January)” by Tori Amos
“Black Swan” by Thom Yorke
There are probably a lot more, but I’ll leave it at that.

Oooh, I love this theme. I mean, not loving how you guys decided on it, but way to find a silver (uh oh, I didn’t mean to I swear!) lining. My first thought was “A Lack of Color” by Deathcab for Cutie but after scrolling I realize that doesn’t fit very well!
