I meant to start doing this regularly in February but clearly that dream is dead. So we pick up the pieces and start in March.
This round of questions came from some of you guys (I apologize but I forgot to write down who asked each question) and some from thin air.
Let’s get to it.
3 current favorite songs
- Waking Lions by Pop Evil
- Rollercoaster by Framing Hanley
- Song 3 by Stone Sour
3 favorite vacation spots
- Key West
- Outer Banks
- Aruba
3 books I thought I’d love but didn’t
- A Brief History of Seven Killings
- The Rosie Effect
- Today Will Be Different
3 books everyone loved that I hated
- The Woman in Cabin 10
- In a Dark Dark Wood
- The Lilac Girls
3 books everyone hated that I loved
- The Twelve Lives of Samuel Hawley (I don’t think this one is universally reviled but I definitely liked it more than most)
- Looking for Alaska (or one of John Green’s books. Might have been Paper Towns. Definitely not An Abundance of Katherines. That book was not good at all)
- The Kopp sisters books (again, not universally reviled but I fangirl over them way more than most people I know)
3 common things I cannot do
- Whistle
- Snap my fingers
- Parallel park
3 popular shows I’ve never seen
- Game of Thrones
- This is Us
- The Walking Dead
3 items always in my purse that aren’t my phone or wallet
- hand lotion
- lip balm
- Band Aids
What about you guys? What are your 3 things?

I always say the worst thing about parallel parking is the witnesses. I feel like I’m a video game character leveling up every time I somewhat successfully do it. I’ll drive out of my way for a parking spot and walk to avoid parallel parking.

Maybe I’ll steal this one.
I didn’t like The Rosie Effect or Today Will Be Different (at all).
I didn’t mind In a Dark Dark Wood but despised The Woman in Cabin 10 and The Lilac Girls was generic and kind of just blah.
Someone posted about how they loved The Woman in Cabin 10 (I think a blogger?) and that got a lot of side-eye from me. I could barely finish it.

Aruba is such a fantastic island; I always think of that place when we talk about sun/beach vacations.

I love the book question – everyone’s opinions are always so varied on books & I love that.
Yep – whistling is the first thing that came to mind for me too – I struggle. I try so hard to learn it!
I’m going to join in on this next week – always love these posts 🙂

I’ve never seen GOT or WD either. I do like TIU, but it’s getting more and more sappier and stupid as it goes along. Like really this family has serious issues! Here are three things I want to do less of but it’s hard.
1. eat work snacks.
2. time on social media.
3. worry about what people think of me.

I don’t know why but I always find the books people love and/or hate fascinating. Wait! I do know why: I am a nosy book nerd. 😀 I am going to borrow this for a future post so you’ll just have to wait and see my answers. I will say that I have only read the Kopp sisters books from your list. I liked them quite a bit, especially the first book but probably not quite as much as you. I have watched all the popular shows you have never seen but don’t watch any of them regularly. Walking Dead is depressing and lord knows I don’t need anything to depress me. This is Us started really good but grew old fast, although I still consider Sterling K Brown to be a national treasure. Games I watched to see what all the hype was about and was done. 😀

I can’t parallel park either… Also, I’m with ya on The Woman in Cabin 10.
I’ve never seen Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead. I’ve seen an episode or two of This Is Us, though.
We’re trying to settle on an anniversary trip and I was looking into Key West. I didn’t even think about Aruba!

So the very first time I did three things in October 2016, I meant to make it a monthly series. I think I’ve only done six since then LOL

I was super let down by the Rosie Effect too and then I went ahead and accidentally spilled coffee on it so the library made me buy it…haha, it was NOT a good day. 😉 I haven’t seen any of those popular shows either although my husband has watched Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
I need to do another post like this one sometime.

I’m glad you did another one of these! I always like reading random facts about my favorite bloggers. 🙂
I also didn’t like The Woman in Cabin 10, but I did like In a Dark Dark Wood. I’m not giving up on Ruth Ware yet.
I can’t whistle either. Parallel parking … eh. I haven’t actually attempted it since high school. I’m one of those people who will drive around until they find a spot that doesn’t require parallel parking.
I’ve never seen This is Us either. My mom loves it. I watched the first season of Game of Thrones, but then we got rid of cable and HBO. It was enjoyable (even though it’s definitely not the kind of thing I’d normally like), but I haven’t felt the need to watch the rest of the seasons. Maybe one day. You’re not missing much with The Walking Dead. I watched the first season, and I could barely get through it. It was so boring! Eric liked it, though, and watched the rest of the seasons on his own.
