Well, I survived this week with my daughter’s birthday, birthday party, my husband’s job offer, declaring my intent to participate in the $30K challenge and finally getting over bronchitis. I, for one, am glad it’s the weekend. Jimmy Fallon is hosting SNL, I have two great movies to watch and I have plenty of time to work on some writing projects. What are your weekend plans? I hope they include reading some of these great posts:
Personal finance reads (where I showcase some of my favorite personal finance posts)
Derek at Life and My Finances Got a New Puppy! I am always happy to hear when someone adds a furry child to his family. And Derek’s puppy is almost as cute as my guys were when they were puppies (for the record, they’re still cute now as middle aged dogs)!
Erika from Newlyweds On A Budgets asks if you’d rather Be Single and Rich or Poor and in Love. Personally, I’d rather be rich and in love, but since that’s not an option, I’m going with poor and in love. On most days, anyway.
Jeff from Sustainable Life Blog discusses Why Saying No Is Good Sometimes. I agree with him. I just wish I could do it more often!
Kay Lynn, the Bucksome Boomer, talks about what life is like for a Blogger Without the Internet. To me, life without the Internet is like life without Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or iced tea–terrible.
Money for College Project gives 3 Ways to Cope With Unwanted Christmas Presents. My family usually avoids this by giving very specific lists.
Shanendoah from The Dog Ate My Wallet suggests ways to Give to Charity for Free. This is so important to do this time of year, and throughout the rest of the year.
Dr. Dean, The Millionaire Nurse, lists the Top 10 Shoplifted Items at holiday time (and then some).
Money Beagle has a totally redesigned site. Make sure you check it out!
Nonpersonal finance reads (where I showcase some of my favorite nonpersonal finance sites)
My dear friend, Mrs. C., is an amazing mom, wife, budgeting pro and all around great lady. And she blogs, too! Go check out how she manages it all at Another Housewife
The Bloggess. She is funny, weird, a little bit crazy and I can’t get through any of her posts without laughing hysterically. She also has a book coming out. I think I love her.
My other writing (where I showcase myself or where you can find my staff writing)

I love puppy tricks! I think the best one I taught my older dog was to wake up my husband when I pointed to him and said “Wake up Daddy”. He would run and jump on my husband, and lick his face until he woke up.
I think I want another puppy!!!

Mine are about the same as yours (at least tonight anyway) taking the evening to relax and do some internet browsing… life without internet would be unimaginable :/

Life without the Internet is so unimaginable I don’t even want to imagine it 🙂
