Short but sweet recap this week.
- Finished 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl. Currently reading How to Start a Fire. Picked up The Bed Moved. Still in a NetGalley hole. Don’t forget Show Us Your Books on Tuesday and a new episode of The Armchair Librarians goes live every Thursday.
- Bought some new mascara and makeup brushes. The great makeup refresh of 2016 is in full swing.
- The husband and I went to a wine tasting last weekend. Ordinarily I don’t enjoy wine but this was at a local place, it’s been on our Delaware to-do list for awhile, and we came home with 2 bottles. One of them is named Redneck Rouge. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t buy it partly for the name.
- Many things enraged me this week (Trump, the asshole woman yelling at the guy in Walmart for buying groceries with food stamps, the bathroom bill debacle) but in the interest of keeping my head from exploding, let’s focus on something happy: this cop who rescued a kitten.
- This summer we plan to update our kitchen. For years, all I’ve wanted is a 1950s style kitchen. For years, I’ve struggled with finding items to make that happened. Then I found this website, Retro Planet, and now my kitchen will look just how I want it. #takemymoney #finally

Hahahaha sounds like an awesome parenting book! I tend to pick wine and beers for their names more often than not. Nothing wrong with that! What kind of make up brushes did you get? I am looking for some new ones. Have a great weekend.

Virginia Beach! Nice! Celebrating Mother’s Day and Richie’s birthday on Sunday. He was a nice Mother’s Day gift for his mom! At least she was in the hospital resting lol. He was the fourth of six! Happy Mother’s Day to all who mother! Love. Steph’s. Momma.

I’ve already expressed my How to Start a Fire excitement on twitter. I definitely appreciated it and it has stayed with me. Steph has told me that the expensive mascara recommended on her blog is well worth it so that might happen this weekend… depends on what other fun stuff I find. Also I saw you were in Lewes for wine and my FIL and his “lady companion” are obsessed with Agave there and insist on taking us (Texans) there every time we visit. It is good, but when I’m on the east coast, I don’t need Mexican!

Haha I’m totally in a Netgalley hole right now too! I got way too request happy, and now I’m slowly (or quickly) trying to read myself out of it! And sometimes you have to buy the wine based purely on the name or the label! That’s half the fun I feel like! I’m so dang new to netgalley that I keep screwing up. Requesting too many books at once. Not downloading them immediately and forget about them until it’s too late. I had an insanely busy day yesterday & wasn’t able to really check social media and current events til my train ride home. When I saw the picture of Trump eating a taco bowl with the caption “I love Hispanics!” I SWORE it was doctored. Then I realized it was from his personal FB account. I CANNOT HANDLE THIS MAN and I’m so ANGRY that he’s an actual candidate to be our next Pres. Help us all.
Listened to the new podcast episode on my walk to the grocery store last night. Loved the topic…made me think of why I do/don’t enjoy certain books! I too hate a whiny female character.

The Mothers Day crap is just…ugh. I will be spending my whole weekend cleaning and doing this I have no desire to do because both my husband and my dad like to make plans but they don’t help execute them!
