The other day on Twitter, I asked for some albums that people listen to all the way through to the end without skipping a song. I got some good answers. Some I’d heard of, some I hadn’t. Some I’d heard of and have never listened to ever at all.
It was a fun list to read. I like knowing people’s musical tastes.
Anyway, Erin (of the Book Challenge by Erin fame) asked me for some of mine. I gave her a few but I figured since not all of you follow me on the Twitter (you should, though. I’m hilarious), I’d put that list here.
There are in no particular order except how they pop into my brain. And you’ll notice that while I have a type, I’m a bit eclectic, too.
- Turnstiles (Billy Joel)
- Presto (Rush)
- Roll the Bones (Rush)
- Amaryllis (Shinedown)
- When Legends Rise (Godsmack)
- Bat Out of Hell (Meatloaf)
- One Thing Remains (Default)
- American Idiot (Green Day)
- The Strange Case of Mz. Hyde (Halestorm)
- Self-titled first album by Train
- Screamin’ for My Supper (Beth Hart)
- Little Earthquakes (Tori Amos)
- Pornograffitti (Extreme)
I also have a couple of greatest hits albums on my list but I feel like that’s cheating so I’m not listing them.
Okay, so. What are some albums you love that you listen to all the way through without skipping a song?

I actually thought about saying REO Speedwagon’s Best Foot Forward on Twitter the other day, but didn’t because a greatest hits albums felt like cheating to me too.
I forgot to say “The Remote Part” by Idlewild the other day. So now it’s said. Yay.

What a fun topic! American Idiot by Green Day would be one for me too. Also, The Con from Tegan and Sara.

I don’t think there is an album where I listen to every single song without skipping. A few are close though Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation, Janet (it’s not a best of album because I agree that’s cheating) and All for You. Madonna’s Like a Virgin, True Blue and Like a Prayer. Alanis Morisette’s Jagged Little Pill. And remember I was 13 at the time, New Kids on the Block’s Hangin’ Tough. I also knew all the dance moves to NKOTB’s songs too. ๐

Shinedown, Green Day and that Train one would all make my list. And Meatloaf too. My parents loved him and made me love him too. Also, I would add Matchbox 20. Marvelous 3 Hey Album, Nevermind by Nirvana, Bush. And judge me, but I am pretty sure I have listened to the entire Jagged Little Pill from good old Alanis Morissette. I am sure there are more and I just cant think.

It is very very very very very rare for me to listen to an album all the way through.
