Living life from cover to cover

Weekly six-pack, 2017, v22

Nothing makes me really just how boring I truly am like these weekly recaps. But they're fun and a good reminder of my life so there's that.

Reading. Ill Will by Dan Chaon. Picked up The Readymade Thief, added a few to the library holds list, and my TBR is bursting at the seams. A culling is in order. Thanks to everyone who joined us for Show Us Your Books and the next one is September 12.

Drinking. Iced coffee. Gallons of iced coffee. It's becoming an issue.

Listening. Dylan Marron's Conversations with People Who Hate Me is fucking phenomenal. There's only 2 episodes thus far and I implore you to listen.

Diving. Right back into cheer mom responsibilities. The 6 week reprieve was lovely. I miss it already.

Raging. Let's get petty, shall we? Because I can't with the playground meet me at 3:00 after school fight between the two manchildren madmen that's currently compromising the safety and security of our entire planet. Rather, let's focus on WHY THE FUCK supermarkets have Halloween displays. This is ridiculous and inappropriate and unnecessary. Why are we in such a damn rush to get to the next thing? We haven't even started school yet! Look. I am a planner. I like to be prepared and I hate surprises. But this is bullshit. With all the talk of slowing down and living in the moment, retail works in complete opposition to that. All for a dollar or two. And it makes me so fucking angry.

Laughing.

Have a great weekend! I'll see you back on Tuesday with another round of bookish questions I stole borrowed from Litsy!

I figure we’re going to get earlier & earlier in season celebrations that we’re going to go full circle & eventually circle back around to the correct time 😉 haha… You so know October 1 will have all the Christmas stuff back out again… when I remember it always being not till the end of November. So crazy how its all changed.

Ice coffee ALL THE TIME. YES!!!

omg seriously with the halloween crap. i get planning and whatnot, but that’s what online stores are for. real life stores should keep that shit away until we are good and ready for it. they’ll still make money, so just hold your damn horses.

LOL that last ecard hahahaha I hate when retail places rush the seasons. I love Christmas so much, but I dont really want to see eight aisles of it September 1st. Let’s wait until after Halloween at least!

I went home on May 30 and we stopped at Hobby Lobby where they were putting up their Halloween displays. And I kid you not, a few Christmas items too. Seriously! It wasn’t even JUNE!!!

And I believe there should forever be a rule that in order to be President you must at least have the emotional competence of a 30 year old. Emperor Baby Fist’s EC is lower than most toddlers.

I love every single one of those memes. The expression on that dog’s face is priceless. And I used to never say WTF to myself 20 times a day but I started around January 20th.

Has it really been a week since I’ve gone through my feedly account and read blogs? I guess so.

Also having the iced coffee drinking problem.
